Jerico (11-22-07)

In the bible there is a story about a chosen generation, very different from its previous one. This generation that I am talking about was lead by Joshua a young fellow, this story can be found in the book of Joshua. The first accomplishment that this generation did was that they brought to the ground the big walls of Jericho. To find the way they brought them to the floor I urge you to read the first few chapters of the book, this fight was a very peculiar fight.

After a war, the winning side takes the goods of the loosing side, but the land, the broken walls, and structures remain the same. Many times we walk, and walk, and walk until we get tired of walking. At this time we just want to walk back to our "place of rest". On the way back we find the walls that with Gods help we were able to bring down and destroy. And by seeing this, it motivate us not do keep walking back to rest, but to go ahead and conquer more, because it remind us that God was, is and will be with us.

If you are frustrated, tired, maybe even bored of serving the lord, look back into all the things that you have done together with Christ and you will see that your motives of resting and "taking a break for a while" do not come from God, or even yourself, but from Satan that just wants to keep you "relax".

God gave you Jericho, take it over, and dont back down.
